My professional career has been centered around people and helping them to be better versions of themselves. Decades spent in health care and years in the classroom have taught me a lot about understanding what is important to people, and why. Copy editing and proofreading were a natural career progression for me: I love reading, but I constantly find myself analyzing and wondering about a writer’s word choices. I challenged myself, obtained my certificates in both copy editing and proofreading, and started my own business, giving me the freedom and flexibility to put my clients first.
